The MX Mitsubishi Alarm Editor (MX MAE) is a simple to use Windows software package (XP, 2000) for local or remote configuration of Mitsubishi Intelligent Industrial Modems. Users can quickly and easily complete the following tasks:
- Create address books, with the contact details of who should receive messages
- Create message templates
- Define alarm event conditions
- Define remote switch commands
- Configure Mitsubishi MAM modems with optional password protection
Users can also use the MX MAE software to establish a remote connection to a remote site. This then allows the local PC, running appropriate PLC programming software, to monitor or reconfigure the remote connected PLC.
The MX Mitsubishi Alarm Editor software can also be used as a simple configuration tool for editing alarm messages with PLC variables. All modem configuration entries are stored in an XML project file that is loaded into the Intelligent Modem. This can be carried out locally via RS232 or remotely through a dial-up modem connection.
